With over 26 years of dedication to Choe’s HapKiDo, Jim Havens has trained extensively across multiple locations, gaining a wide perspective from many Masters and Instructors. Earning his 3rd-degree black belt, he brings both deep martial arts expertise and a decade of academic tutoring experience to his teaching, where he favors a Socratic approach to spark curiosity and learning. Having attended dozens of events and seminars with Grandmaster Choe, Instructor Havens is committed to carrying forward the lessons of HapKiDo in Dahlonega, Georgia. His mission is to help every student become the best version of themselves through discipline, character, and perseverance.

Cassandra Havens brings two decades of professional leadership experience as an IT Architect, alongside a powerful personal journey shaped by autism, Ménière’s disease, and fibromyalgia. Initially believing these challenges might limit her, she found that HapKiDo training enriched her life beyond expectations—transforming obstacles into strengths. With advanced degrees in IT and business, Cassandra grounds her teaching in a strengths-based leadership style, surrounding correction with praise and encouragement. At Choe’s HapKiDo in Dahlonega, Georgia, she is deeply inspired by the supportive community and works to help every student unlock their potential, grow in confidence, and embrace the philosophy of continuous improvement.
