Anthony Rivera, a dedicated martial artist with over 20 years of experience, began training in his teens under John Baronskie, earning a Brown Belt in American Karate. Inspired by his son’s interest, Anthony joined Choe’s HapKiDo when his son was six and has been immersed in the practice ever since. Since 2013, he has been teaching martial arts in Flowery Branch, sharing his passion and expertise. Anthony’s journey reflects a commitment to personal growth and community, blending discipline, family, and martial arts into a fulfilling career.

Instructor PattiAnn is a 4th Degree Black belt that trained with her husband, daughter and son. She is a passionate HapKiDo martial artist and instructor, teaching since 2007. With a deep commitment to the art, she infuses her classes with vibrant energy, positivity, discipline, and excitement, inspiring students to have fun and unlock their full potential. She also teaches a Health and Wellness Tai Chi class that focuses on slow movement, balance and flexibility. PattiAnn fosters a supportive environment where individuals of all ages develop confidence, resilience, and discipline through HapKiDo’s fluid techniques and self-defense principles. Her teaching emphasizes respect, discipline, personal growth, leadership, and mental focus, empowering students to excel both on and off the mat. As a dedicated mentor, Instructor PattiAnn continues to inspire her community, cultivating a love for martial arts and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Stephen Mallory is an Owner, Operator, and Head Instructor at Choe's Hapkido of Flowery Branch. He began his Hapkido journey in 2016, earning his first-degree black belt in 2019 and his second-degree in 2021. Known for his high-energy and positive teaching style, Stephen’s core mission is to help every student see and unlock their own greatness. He believes Hapkido is the perfect vehicle for building not only practical self-defense skills but also unshakable self-confidence. His classes are dynamic and uplifting, creating an empowering environment for students to grow and succeed.

Terry Newell is a Head Instructor at Choe’s Hapkido Martial Arts in Flowery Branch. He began his martial arts training in the early nineties in Taekwondo under Grandmaster Maurice Elmalem in NY before moving to Myrtle Beach and discovering his true passion and calling in Hapkido. Instructor Newell had the honor of earning his first degree black belt from Master Choe in 1996. It was Master Choe who inspired Terry to become a martial arts instructor and one day open a school of his own. Before relocating to Flowery Branch Georgia, Terry opened part-time schools in Brooklyn, NY and Manhattan, NY. Terry’s classes are known for their high energy and intense training. The words “can’t” and “quit” are never spoken in his classes!
