Kicking for Kids: Choe’s HapKiDo Hosts 7th Annual Kick-a-Thon to Benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Choe's HapKiDo Fundraiser

Martial arts students, families, and local businesses unite to raise funds for Georgia’s leading children’s hospital.

— April 19, 2025 — Choe’s HapKiDo is inviting the entire community to join in kicking for a cause during the 7th Annual Kick-a-Thon on Saturday, April 19, 2025. This high-energy fundraising event aims to raise money for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the largest pediatric healthcare systems in the Southeast.

The Kick-a-Thon has grown into a signature community event, drawing together families, friends, colleagues, and local businesses to support a life-saving cause. Martial arts students gather pledges from family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers who sponsor them for every minute they kick. Last year’s event raised over $4,000, and this year, participating Choe’s HapKiDo locations hope to break that record—with the help of the community.

More Than One Dojang, One Mission
This year, the Kick-a-Thon is expanding as multiple Choe’s HapKiDo locations—including Cumming, Flowery Branch, and Jefferson—come together for a united effort in supporting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The event highlights the power of martial arts to not only build strength and discipline but also cultivate community, compassion, and leadership.
